Friends of Merton Court Events Autumn 2017

Friends of Merton Court (FOMC) also known as the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is an active and integral part of Merton Court School. The principle aims of the FOMC are to engage in activities of all kinds social, educational and fund-raising to further enhance the school-life of our children and their families.
This term we have a number of events planned. As always, we extend a warm welcome to all of our new parents who may wish to get involved. Remember, you don’t need to be on the committee to help at any of these events.

Helper/class rep meeting Tuesday 3 October (9am)
If you would like to get involved and help at any FOMC events this year, please come along to the Dining Room on Tuesday 3 October.

Bonfire Night Friday 3 November. Gates will be open at 6pm. The fire will be lit at 7pm and the display will begin at 7.30pm. Refreshments will be available. Tickets will be on sale from the beginning of October from FOMC via the School Office.

Children’s Christmas Bazaar Friday 24 November
1-3.30pm.

A great Christmas ‘child-friendly’ event. Doors open at 1pm and close at 3.30pm. Parents and relatives are welcome to join us for a cup of tea, otherwise the children will be supervised by staff until pick-up times.

‘A Must do date’ for your 2018 diary:

‘Prom on the Pitch’ - Thursday 12 July (5-9pm).
We are also organizing another Adults’ Comedy Night in the Spring and a May Ball, so watch this space…

Water Bottles These are free to all new children to the school from FOMC via the school office. Additional bottles are available to buy from the school Office or FOMC at a cost of £5 each.
Second-hand uniform donations are always welcome. Please leave any items of clothing you no longer need in the School Office while the FOMC kitchen is being refurbished. Many thanks.

NB: Our next Committee meeting Wednesday 11 October 7.30pm in Reception. All welcome!

Friends of Merton Court would like to thank everyone for supporting the events we host for you. They take lots of planning and hard work and could not take place without the dedication of the committee members, staff and the many volunteers that help at the events. We welcome any suggestions and help for future fundraising events and we would welcome any ideas you and your children may have for future purchases with the funds we raise.
