The team as a whole were a credit to themselves and Merton Court for their never say die attitude when the odds were stacked against them by a ‘Roy of the Rovers’ goalkeeping display from the opposition. Particular mention must go to Zeka Enver who absolutely ran his heart out for the whole game and never gave up, a true captain’s performance leading by example.
