Friends of Merton Court Events Summer 2022

Friends of Merton Court (FOMC) also known as the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is an active and integral part of Merton Court School. The principal aim of the FOMC are to engage in activities of all kinds social, educational and fund-raising to further enhance the school-life of our children and their families.

 

As always, we extend a warm welcome to all of our new parents who may wish to get involved. Remember, you don’t need to be on the committee to help at any of these events.

This term’s events are:

“Auction of Promises” – Thursday 23 June (6pm)

FOMC proudly hosts an Auction of Promises, on the evening of Thursday 23rd June 2022.

 

The auction is an FOMC fundraising initiative to support our school enrichment projects, benefiting our children and raising school community spirit.

 

There will be an opportunity to bid for promises online as well as in person at the event.

 

Promises can be anything from freshly baked cakes, gardening, vouchers, no pledge or promise is too small or elaborate!!

 

If you would like to offer a promise, please advise your class representative.

 

As ever, thank you all for your ongoing support, we look forward to hosting this event!

 

 

Prom on the Pitch – Thursday 14 July (6-9pm)

Watch out for further information regarding this very popular annual event for all the family.

 

 

Other News:

‘Pre-loved’ Uniform Sale – Thursday 21 April from 8 – 8.45am-10am at the Pavilion.  This will be followed by every 2nd Thursday this term.   If you are unable to make any of this dates, please send any requests to the School Office.

Water Bottles are still available to buy from the FOMC. Steel Chilly Bottles at £20 each and plastic bottles at £5 each.

Second-hand uniform donations are always welcome. Please leave any items of clothing you no longer need with the School Office.

Friends of Merton Court would like to thank everyone for supporting the events we host for you. They take lots of planning and hard work and could not take place without the dedication of the committee members, staff and the many volunteers that help at the events. We welcome any suggestions and help for future fundraising events and we would welcome any ideas you and your children may have for future purchases with the funds we raise.
