Merton Court School Easter ski trip 2018

Fifty-seven children and parents attended this year’s ski trip to the French resort of Tignes-Val d’Isere.

We had fantastic skiing conditions with lots of fresh snow during the week.
The children and adult learners made great progress and by the end of the week everyone was skiing blues, reds and even some black runs!

Apres-ski events included swimming, 10-pin bowling, movie night, bingo & quiz night. We also partied at the world-famous La Folie Douce in Val d’Isere. Our journey home was a challenge as strikes by French air-traffic controllers caused the cancellation of our flight, however we were fortunate to secure a coach to take us back home. It was a fabulous trip with incredible snow and great skiing in a beautiful resort.

Details of next year’s trip have been finalised; we will be returning to Les Deux Alpes for more high-altitude skiing, in one of Europe’s most snow-sure resorts. We will be staying at a hotel we have used before, La Belle Etoile. Booking forms are available from Mr Brady.
