12 Nov Remembrance Service 2024
It was a very moving to hear S3 (Year 5) personal stories about relatives who served in the Military. We were especially glad to welcome the Mayor of Bexley and numerous dignitaries with representation from the Royal British Legion and Lamorbey and Sidcup Historical Society, along with Service and ex-Service Personnel. S3 (Year 5) also told the story of their visit to the trenches on the Western Front in Belgium and France. It was a particular proud day for us as part of of 125th anniversary celebrations we published a book and also a virtual book on the School’s website commemorating ‘The Lost Boys of World War II’. This completes the fascinating research work undertaken by our School Community about past pupils from 1915 – 1920 and 1941 – 1944. We recognise that our ‘Lost Boys’ stories remain incomplete and possibly inaccurate so if you do recognise any of the names of our two rolls of honour, for WW1 and WW2, please do contact us. We would be delighted to hear from you.
