02 Oct S3 Residential Trip to France

S3 once again embarked on their annual trip to France as part of their work on Remembrance. It was an early start on Thursday 14th October, ready for a busy few days in France. Over the three days, the children visited Langemark German Cemetery, Sanctuary Wood, Wellington Quarry and Orchard Dump where we were met by the local Mayor and paid our respects to a past pupil, Marcel Simon. The highlight of our trip was being given the honour of laying a wreath at Menin Gate during the Last Post Ceremony. We ended our stay with a visit to Nausicaa Marine Centre which the children and staff enjoyed immensely.
