Our theme for English term is ‘Take One Picture’; a cross-curricular theme between art & English. The children have been looking at famous works of art and using them as starting points for writing, both factual and creative. We have also used art to inspire is to write and have visited (virtually) various art galleries. Some classes have also looked at illustration in books. As we have been absent from school and unable to hold our ever-popular dressing-up day, we asked the children to recreate a famous work of art at home, with whatever materials they could muster. The results have been fantastic!
